I am a registered nurse and want to know how I become a Cosmetic Injectables Nurse?I really want to start a career as a Cosmetic Injectables Nurse in a Cosmetic Surgery Clinic on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. The job would involve performing procedures such as injecting dermal fillers such as botox, collagen, restalyn and hylaform injections, microdermabrasion etc. I am a registered nurse which is the first step, however I do not have any experience in cosmetic dermatology. I am currently writing letters to lots of cosmetic surgery companies and asking them how to gain experience or employment within the field. What else can I do?
Is cosmetic dermatology and dermatology the same thing? Does it reguire the same course work?what is the difference between cosmetic dermatology and regulare dermatology, if there is a difference…if there’s not what is the difference between cosmetic dermatology and aesthectician..and what is the difference between aesthectician and an esthectician? Are there any schools in ohio that teach about Laser Hair removal? Scar revision? Fillers? lasers for acne removal ( don’t know what its called) etc. Does anyone know what kind’ve salary a person like this would make? I am confused about the difference between a cosmeticc dermatologist,a regular dermatologist, an aesthectican and a esthectician…PLEASE HELP!
Definitely think that that you stated. Your preferred cause seemed to be at the internet the simplest thing to consider of. I explain to you, I definitely obtain annoyed even as people consider problems that they simply dont comprehend about. A person were able to strike the nail on the top as well as described out the entire thing with no need side effect , folks could take an indication. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you
your acne “pops” up from pores which are all the way under the bottom layer of skin allot of real people i know with BAD acne used proactive and it cleared right up also i think plastic surgery for any thing other then disfigurements and reconstruction is a bad idea god said i made your body the way it should be love your self for who you are not for what others see not in those exact word tho
Anti Aging Injections?Hey guys,Please dont judge me for being curious. I am very young and dont need these injections but I have a huge passion for anti aging dermatology. I was wondering if such a thing existed. I am aware of injectable fillers like Restylane and Collagen. I am also aware of other injections like Botox and Juvederm. But I was wondering if there is vitamins or something like retinols you could inject in the skin to promote ageless, healthy, young skin. For example is their like an injectable moisturizer to penetrate more layers of the skin or is their injectable anti aging ingredients that wouldnt paralyze the muscle or plump the skin but just aid healthy skin. Thanks
Deep wrinkles on upper lip… what really works?I am in my 30′s and am so sick of deep wrinkles on my upper lip which has been bothering me for a long time. I took Restylene (wrinkle filler) injection at dermatology clinic. It simply didn’t work for me. It may have changed a little bit but not significantly. I took supplement such as hyaluronic acid for a long time, collergen drink which includes 10,000 mg of collergen), also use lip cream (burt’s bees rejuvenating lip balm, Blistex DEEP RENEWAL, CLINIQUE all about lips etc) and use plastic wrap on it during the night. I do see the difference but as soon as I take off the plastic wrap, it gets as wrinkly as usual. Is there anything that really works?? I really can’t stand people whom I talk to stare or even freeze for a sec when they notice them. I also have discoloration of upper lip (brown spot which I elliminate by laser and white spot) Someone please give me good idea.
Being a dermotologist is a medical speciality, and requires a medical school degree. Undergraduate majors are those that would fulfull the requirements of the medical school you want to attend, which would include quite a few science courses. You have to go through four years of medical school (although U. Penn has a program that gets you certified as a dematologist in five years, which includes an extra year of schooling wrapped into the traditional 4 year med school course). Then, they have to do a one year residency in a clinical setting, and then do a three-year dermatology residency. So you are looking at at least 8 years of schooling beyond college. Instead of going to med school, however, you can elect to become an aesthetician by going to a cosmetology-licensed school to learn how to give facial massages and learn to how recommend skin care treatments and make up. Most cosmetology schools have a minimum age of 16, and classes can last between six months and 18 months, and do not require a high school diploma.
Hi Charley, Curiosity is what makes you smarter. People you judge you are the ones that do not want you to know more. Kudos for you to your curiosity. In the cosmetic industry, the term “anti-aging” is misleading. There are literally hundreds of products with such claim and NONE of them accomplish just that. This also applies for pricey procedures you get at the dermatology’s or plastic surgeon’s practice. Why? If a serum, or lotion, or cream (or anything other word) that claims “anti-aging”, then anyone who uses it will not age anymore. But that is absolutely not true, you are aging, nonetheless. You can do a great deal to with with extrinsic aging, but not so much with intrinsic aging. Bottom line: without the daily use of broad-spectrum suns protection, any anti-aging product you will be in vain. Vitamins are not injectable or none that I know of. Vitamins in a well-formulated and stable packaging be effective in absorbing into your skin. There are a lot of failures in the cosmetic industry because their “special potions” and whatnot are not in stable packaging. For example, L-ascorbic acid and Retinol are both unstable under light and air, that is why these ingredients must be packaged in containers that minimize or completely block air and light. Products in airless pump are good example. You cannot inject moisturizer into skin. The ingredients of moisturizer works best on the top layer to keep you moist and soft. The only “anti-aging” injectable that can paralyze the muscle is Botox and Dysport. Dysport is a newcomer. Botox has the longest profile of safety and efficacy. The effect of Botox or Dysport do not last forever even if you use it for years. Not so anti-aging after all right? Everything in reality you need to understand needs maintenance one way or another. If you want a trusted source back up with science, you can rely on the Cosmetic Cop.
